Carrapateena Project

Steel Pencil secured the construction modelling for the copper-gold mining project located 160km north of Port Augusta in South Australia. The Carrapateena Project is one of Australia’s largest undeveloped copper deposits, the project will be a 4.25 Mtpa underground operation with an estimated mine life of 20 years. Steel Pencil are proud to be selected for this project because of their successful track record including having completed other Oz Minerals projects such as nearby Prominent Hill.

Steel Pencil did the Steel and Pre-cast detailing for this Health Facility based in Cairns, Australia. This facility was built to withstand a category five cyclone, but still be able to provide interim emergency care and operate as a quality health facility under all circumstances.

Steel Pencil was chosen to do the modelling of the wharf in 2019. For this project we were able to work closely with our client in the steel and pre-cast detailing and modelling for this project. Steel Pencil were involved in the detailing for this project in 2019, with the construction latter being finished off in 2020.

Steel Pencil did the detailing for this water recycling plant upgrade in Victoria during 2020. This project consisted of seven buildings originally. Two more buildings were added on our scope afterward. We also did additional two existing buildings for remediation.
Karapiro Gulley Bridge

Steel Pencil worked on the structural steel construction modelling of the Karapiro Gully Bridge as part of the Waikato Expressway, Tamahere to Cambridge Upgrade. The project for the 200 metre-long bridge began in 2013, and the construction of it was latter finished off in 2015.
Harbour Town Cinemas

The team at Steel Pencil enjoyed working on the detailing for this project in Melbourne back in 2017. The Harbour Town Cinemas was a large project which included a new eight cinema Hoyts among other exciting retail stores and areas to suit entertainment. The precincts is built next to the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel and O’Brien Group Arena, formerly the Medibank Icehouse, the later a project completed by Steel Pencil several years ago.
