The Steel Pencil Team
Ormond StockOwner, Executive Chairman
In 1979 Ormond formed Ormond Stock Associates, a consulting engineering company which grew to have offices in Wellington, Auckland and Palmerston North. The company pioneered the use of fully intelligent integrated 3D modelling of buildings, in essence, prebuilding structures on a computer so that the contractor builds them for the second time. Part of this development involved the introduction of steel shop drawing into the consulting office; a step in the process of saving the client time and money. In 2002 Ormond retired from the company and turned his interests to Steel Pencil Ltd. Ormond has been a director of Palmerston North Airport Ltd, Aorangi Hospital Ltd, MidCentral District Health Board and Whanganui District Health Board. Ormond.Stock@steelpencil.com
